Default boost control not working w/ barometric correction

This is driving me nuts. As soon as I enable barometric correction (under engine constants), boost control stops working.Once I disable baro, boost control starts working again.

A couple of times I've gotten it to work, but I can't find a repeatable process.

Any ideas what's going on? This is MS-I/Extra.

Yes, I have the closed loop limit set to 0.

I can understand its importance in an alpha-n setup, but when using speed density, what is the benefit on baro correction?

This is a maf-based setup.

And I'm not talking about constant barometric correction. Just the one-time baro check at start.

So has no one even tried this?

You may have your typical ambient pressure set too high - I've seen that shut down the boost control before for some reason.

Huh, I wonder if this is the same problem I'm having. I'll have to check that out. What is a setting that's too high? Mine is at 101 max and 95 min. Is it relative to some other value?

I considered that, but actually, you cannot set the typical ambient pressure if barometric correction is enabled. The box is grayed out.

Braineack - I've tested on the car, as well as the stim. But next time I'll give it a little puff.

I tested it out this weekend and I am having the same problem. I just disabled the baro correction. I plan on just going with a good MBC, so it's not a big deal for me.
