Got the car started. idles like crap. smells like to much fuel. tries to idle over 1500rpm, sounds and feels like its missing.

rev built ms2 extra with pnp harness, no afm.

90 miata only current mods are headers and full exhaust.

Stock injectors?

If it is rich, adjust it leaner.

If it idles too high, adjust it lower.

Did you set your base timing with a timing light?

Adjust the VE table in the cells that are active when idling downward numerically until such time as you reach a desirable AFR. You can adjust your target idle speed in the More Settings: Idle Control section.

vTPS installed and calibrated? Why is your AFR signal flat?

Not without a vTPS and a wideband to check the fueling.

vTPS isn't going to help you much with tuning idle, but the lack of a wideband is going to suck. I'd offer to give you some pointers (I'm in Germantown) but trying to tune without a wideband ranks right up there with sticking your dick in a blender and turning it to "whip". And that before you get to acceleration enrichment.

The ECU is designed for use with a vTPS. Without one, he's not going to have a proper CL idle.

How will you tune with a narrowband?
