Default break up with boost

Im having an issue aroubnf 5600-6000 rpm with which i beleive it is a misfire or pre detination, WOT AFR is 9.6-10.2. Ive tried to take timing/ put timing in on my spark map but nothing is helping. any ideas?

Spark blow-out. Lower your spark gap or get COPs.

We can't possibly answer you definitively without a log.

The only reasonable answer is to K-Swap it.

Pre detination for sure. If youre not careful youre going to blow the welds on your intake manifold.

Im gapped at .030 plug: BRK7E
i have LS coils just waiting to be installed, but wanted to get this figured out first.

ANy idea on how to check for Pre-Detination? Still getting the hang of Tuner studio, seemed to not break up as bad when it was richer.

thanks

It could very well be showing rich due to misfire.

I agree with above. Try leaning it out a bit. 10s is nuts for such low boost. I'm probably wrong, but I aim for 12.5 afr up to 5psi, then 11.5 beyond that.
If that doesn't solve or help the problem, then your ignition system might be worth looking into

I thought this was a clever thread title for another K swap build. Thoroughly disappointed now.

Stock coils are weak. Install the better coils and set the dwell and it will improve significantly. No amount of tuning is going to help if your coils aren't strong enough to fire the mixture. This is part of the reason we can't help you right now. The other part is you have not posted a tune and a log, but those are useless if you are experiencing spark blowout.

have you fixed your 9s and 10s in AFR? no spark will ignite that mixture.

I have LS coils and 9s still breaks up but with really scary explosions.

Here is what ive changed last night, WOT i see 11-11.6, plugs gapped to .026. I have also been told to do this
''Load the base map for the 94-97 . Check the KPA, see if it goes above 200kpa. Really as long as it goes above 105, it's a boost map.
You can also use the Tuner map, it's a bit more aggressive.
Dont worry about the year car or model MS, JUST USE THE IGNITION MAP. not the whole tune. You might have to fill in some holes on the map, but use the interpolation key, its it's easy. I say that because the MS2 might have less cells to fill per graph, than ms3.'
Any idea if i should give this a shot, i have been making changed to my tune from what everyone has been metioning to do/try, and it is getting alot better!
