Can I run semi-sequential on a 1.6 without changing wiring?
And if so, should I?
Hey guys, just trying to get my idle smoother. Its a 1992 1.6 with a rev build ms3. Right now the idle jumps around a bit and is also pig rich around 11.0 afr. Still getting the closed loop tuned correctly but I keep reading about sequential injection. I know I need some wiring modification to run fully sequential, but what about semi?

18, I can tell you I dont understand it fully. I know the 1.6 runs batch injection stock which fires 2 injectors at once, and as far as I can tell semi-sequential also runs 2 at once, im assuming it just allows you to change the phasing? Dunno. And brain, im running 550cc injectors.
Yep, I get it now. Why not just re-wire, its really not difficult at all, and enjoy proper seq fuel?
I don't see how timing the injection will improve anything when you're still firing off in batch

I guess I have no reason not to! I figured it was an arduous process. I will look into it.
On my wiring loom that rev provided, he details this:
Brown and Green (twisted together) (optional)- Ignition output C (brown) and
ignition output D (green)
Pink and Violet – Injection output C (pink) (optional) and injection output D
(violet) (90-93 only)
Does that mean that I run 2 of the injector wires to pink and violet? I disregard the brown and green? If its even on there, gotta pull up the mats and whatnot to check.

Apologies, ive just finished my senior year semester finals and my brain is fried. They are rx7 injectors. I plan on getting some deatschwerks when I get the money but for now im running these. Whats the benefit of running semi over batch, and if I do run semi, what angle should I be squirting? I didnt see anything on the forum about it. Im thinking of just going fully sequential now anyway.
