Changed from MAF to IAT on MS1
Hi,
today I installed the GM IAT on my '92 Miata Turbo. The car has an MS1 PNP and without the drop down like the MS2 has I am to stupid to get the car running again.
I read about "easy therm" and i also found the right data for the bias. Coolant Sensor is stock 1.6 Miata.
But I can't write it to the MS. Only an Error shows up.
Someone in this Forum said that he had to change the settings of his PC into US/English like Time and language. But also that didn't work :(
I bought this car with MS1 and oem AFM. Next to this car i had built an Miata 1,6 Turbo with MS2 which was damn easy to calibrate that GM IAT Sensor.
Can someone please help me?

AAAAAAH
Do I need to jump the fuel Pump on the MAF plug?
There are 3 different ways shown:
1. Megasquirt instruction - connecting the IAT kabels to 1 and 6 on the MAF plug
2. Plug IAT in 1 and 3 and jump 2 and 7 for the fuel Pump https://www.miataturbo.net/megasquir...problem-92105/
3. Plug IAT in 2 and 3 and jump 1 and 7 (jump 2p andFP). Also from this forum but i can't find the thread again
What is the right way????

You shouldn't need to jump the fuel pump unless somebody killed the MSPNP's fuel pump output by leaving the ST SIGN fuse in place. If that's the case, you would need to use the fuel pump jumper at the diagnostic connector.
Can you post a screen shot of the error you're getting?

Okay i solved some issues today.
1. if you choose the ms1 base map with Maf then your car won't Even Start with an IAT
2. So i took the "with IAT" base map and wrote my working tune into it. Fuel, Spark, Engine constants...
3. i had no connection to MS because my data cable had a fault. So i built a new one.
long story short: my car is running! With IAT!
but it runs super lean and stalls after short Time.
i dont know why. The tune is the same as betore except the maf which is now an IAT.....
do really to make a new tune now?

It shouldn't need drastic retuning. Can you post a log of your tune on the IAT and a data log of what's going on?
