Default Iat sensor problem

So I have a problem with my diypnp , I tuned the car with the afmr but when I plug in the iat sensor and calibrate it the car does not turn on , it cranks for a few seconds and sounds like it wants to start but it doesn't ....it starts just fine with the afm sensor

I'm going to assume yours is a na6. In the na6 the AFM turns on the fuel pump, so removing it without controlling the fuel pump some other way will cause the issue you're having. Did you build the high side driver circuit as per the instructions but forget to remove the fuse in the engine bay? A better way would be to jump the fuel pump output to either 2O or 1K and then jump it to the appropriate point to control the fuel pump. 2O goes to the AFM so you jump that wire to the wire that activates the fuel pump when grounded. Alternatively you can use 1K which goes to the "TEN" terminal in the diagnostics box, and then jump that to F/P to control the fuel pump.

So you're basically telling me to do it like I'm the picture you sent wire ten to f and then instead of using the regular way to plug in the iat I should do it like in the picture brigs the fuel pump and iat would be in a different place instead of being in the regular spot the 1st and 6th pin

You also have to modify your ECU pinout to make that work. The guides instructions for the iat sensor pins are wrong. It gets you to connect the iat sensors ground to power ground instead of signal ground.

I looked at my wiring I grounded the fp to a ground port in the ecu board or is it better to do it your way

I'm not sure what you mean. Just jumper Fuel Pump on your ECU main board to either 4O or 1K and jump the correct pins together as above.

I am going to rewire it according to your guide and I'll let you know how it goes

Barton your instructions are a little off.

Jvaz, jump F/P and GND in the diagnostics box with a paper clip. will the car run now? (not TEN and not with a 1K resistor)

if so, read my DIYPNP assembly doc in my sig link. if you wire FP to 4O on the DIYPNP, you just need that jumper those two pins in the AFM connector like my image that Barton posted above. Otherwise, the AFM is activating the fuel pump, and without it: not so much.

Yeah F/P to GND will run the pump permanently but I'm saying jump it to "TEN" instead and inside the ECU jump fuel pump to pin 1K which is connected to "TEN". Same thing as doing it through 4O but the jumper is inside the diagnostics box instead which I think is neater.
