Cold start/Heat soak idle logs
Gents,
I swapped in a 75mm Rotrex pulley to replace the 80mm and I'm working on tweaking my idle. Still a work in progress.
I have zeroed out MAT air density correction and WUE, I don't need WUE. I run a little ASE (still needs work) that lasts until the wideband starts to read, then my current tune has EGO take over. I'm still playing with what coolant temp I want EGO to start working at, and the boxes around 900 rpm and 30 kPa need tweaking. These two logs illustrate my heat soak issue. I'm hopeful someone can see something I don't.
The log from the 13th was taken after a 30+ minute drive which included some highway miles and autotuning. I parked the car, shut it off and let it sit for a few minutes. I started her with EGO Off, and turned it on about halfway through the log. EGO needed to add over 7% more fuel.
The log from the 14th was taken after she sat overnight. It's not cold here at all. While the car is not fully warmed up, it's not heat soaked. (I have the startup log if anyone is interested.) When I turned on EGO, it pulled over 7% fuel.
That's basically how I have been dealing with it--getting the values in the VE Table at idle to be about halfway between cold start and heat soaked and let EGO make the adjustments. When it's really cold, those same fuel numbers would have the AFRs down in the low 12s or even lower, without any WUE.
All the injector settings are right from Nigel at Flow Force.
Is there something I'm doing wrong?
Thanks,
