Default communication issue after the car starts and idles

I just bought an ms2 PNP form a member on this forum. I have asked the guy too many questions. The car now idles using a wideband. Im using an express card serial adapter. while the engine is not running i have no issue communicating with MS, but when the engine is running it usually goes to offline within 0:20 to 2 min. The baud rate is at 115200. the frame rate is set to 15 per sec. Should i try a USB adapter? or is it a settings issue?

its probably an interference issue.

I will assume you are running off a laptop. Is it plugged into the cigarette lighter? If so you could be creating a ground loop that causes interference.
Unplug the power supply, run off the batter and try again.

Noise issue from an unshielded tuning cable, poor ground, or possibly non-resistor plugs and/or non suppressed plug wires.

Key on engine off, run a coil output test. Seeing if you go offline during the coil test may give you somewhere to start looking for your noise problem.

Thanks for the advice. I will work on it after tomorrow and try to find any grounding issue and the power to the laptop is from and external source 115v. I will check for ground noise.
