Well, I had been using offset of 9 and scale of 0.984, and hadn't noticed any discrepancy. I'll give 9.108 and 0.964 a try and see how much of a difference it reads.

I pulled those Cool-A,B,C values from the easytherm file using the MSPNP inputs of:
-4F 16150 104F 1150 176 320 A= 1.222495E-03 B=2.775695E-04 C= 4.196125E-08 (from MSPNP9093 w AFM thermfactor.ini). However, with: -4 16150 104 1150 176 330 A= 1.131957E-03 B=2.943506E-04 C= -3.725285E-08 (from MSPNP9093 w/o AFM thermfactor.ini) Looks like my AIR values for MAT are screwed up as well. I can't figure out where those values came from, but the GM IAT sensor I'm using (AFM delete) should have Air values of : A= 6.034498E-04 B=4.181235E-04 C= -1.094738E-06 (from MSPNP9093 w/o AFM matfactor.ini). I can't seem to find an appropriate matfactor.ini for use with the AFM...they all seem to have the same values as thermfactor.ini. Do the stock CLT and IAT (in AFM) sensors have the same temp/resistance relationship? :dunno: BTW: I'm glad some more people are jumping on this. Makes me revisit all the screw-ups from rushing this to make it "work," or rather show that it could work ;) |

I see what you're doing, I think... The default files are coded around the GM sensor. That's why they have the same values. :)
You need to look in the MSPNP W/O AFM folder, the "your car" folder that shows your customized settings, not in the main MegaTune folder which only shows default settings. |

OK, so mazda uses the same sensor for coolant and air temp. It's just a thermistor right :)
<edit> and I believe GM uses the same thermistor for both air and coolant temps too, and that's why the MT default settings (which defaults to GM sensors) show the same Steinhart-Hart coefficients for both AIT and CLT |

Nope, just spent 10 minutes in the car. The settings for MAT and CLT you originally listed and I copied in post #69 are correct to MegaTune within 1 degree F.

CJ, don't be rediculous. We did all the hard work, and anyone w/ a mspnp w/ a 2.5bar sensor can simply copy the settings listed. And I *think* I've got the 4 bar map settings, but it's too hard to drive and check in boost, especially because it's wet out. I'll post the new settings as soon as I can verify. |
