If the Megasquirt is controlling the fuel and spark, then how on earth will the OEM ECU be able to still handle the cold starts?

the board mods dont scare me... its knowing exactly what u have to have to make it work.. I havent seen any threads that take you from recieved MS (built ms box to plans) to hooked up and running great.

i build the kit.. test it with the stim, works good.. hook up the wires..
then what do i do?

I'll start a new topic on the MSnSE install.

Didn't mean for this to come off as a pot-shot at Adam. I'm not sure I think that he's trying to rip people off....yet, but I would like to at least hear back something from him. I'm sure he's busy and maybe he bit off more than he can chew, but still then I'd at least appreciate a PM/e-mail/call (that takes less than one minute no matter how busy you are) saying that he's busy and it'll take a little longer. I'm not expecting daily updates or anything. In fact, at this point, if he's too busy, I'd just like my money and ecu back so I can get my car running again before the weather gets nice.

Aussie tellin it like it is. I think we're startin to sound like a broken record... it's not too hard, but you gotta be willing to read and learn.

Plus, when I finally got mine going correctly, (with Aussie's encouragement) I figured, now everyone can do it!

What I'm sayin is I find it interesting that no-one (I think) has gotten an MS miata running since the writeups were written and everything was figured out.

Exactly what I'm thinking and what I've tried to let Adam know. I'm not mad if he's too busy to do it, I just want my money back so I can move on. Even if for some reason he doesn't have access to the internet at home or work he could still go to a library and at least pm or e-mail us.

I guess I'm glad I am not the only one in this boat, just not happy to be in the situation at all.

I check this site like eight times a day to see if I've had a pm from kingofl337 and it's getting old.

end vent

Soldering is not hard at all, just go to the local Radioshack and pick up a soldering iron (~8$), solder (~4$), and a desoldering braid (~4$) and just practice soldering wires together, it's really not hard at all. There is nothing complicated about soldering up the MS board, there's no surface mount components, just as long as you can follow instructions (and I assume you can since you're going the MS router) you'll be fine. All you need for to solder the MS board is a little bit of practice. If you're worried about your skills, you can always start off on the MS Stim

his mods to the ecu case are not that difficult to perform. I would be glad to explain them to anyone via PM or e-mail. I didn't do it that way myself because I didn't want to modify the stock case incase I need to do a complete removal at some point. Mine is running an external switch box.

I too finally heard back from him, but I'll reserve any judgement until I actually have my MS in my hands.
