Shitty. There has been many threads about this, so search. Basically the best tune will come from tuning each cell by hand.

I prefer MLV to autotune. Couldn't get it to work half the time.

I prefer a good solid manual tune to either. I doubt MLV could do what I do in the same timespan.

I use MLV and smoothen things out manually afterwards. Tried auto-tune but wasn't crazy about it.

How did it go?

I tried for 4sec...no lie...and decided to be brave and learn how to run datalogs.

That proved to be super easy...and a VERY quick way to get a run-able tune on your car that you can then handsmooth.

Its not that hard to tune fuel. Stop wasting bandwidth.

it doesn't work and therefore you shouldn't try it. B&G are always too busy coming up with new products instead of writing good code, or letting those who can lend a hand.

AutoTune is actually something in MegaTune, not a feature of the MS code itself.

Phil Tobin's planning a feature called VE Analyzer Live for TunerStudio that's going to be quite interesting...

I use a bit of both MLV and Autotune.

Lately I've been using autotune and it works great. I like it better than pulling over all the time, analyzing the datalog then loading into megatune etc etc.

You do have to change the parameters in the custom.ini file so it actually tunes in boost and over 4000 RPM.

I'd rather tune by hand than sitting there wasting time pretending autotune does anything.

Of course tuning by hand is preferable. I just made some significant changes to my AFR table. I had to take a 35 min drive, so I figured I'd autotune as I went. It hit my targets just like MLV would and I could feel the changes.
Now a couple days later, my AFR is pretty damn close (within a couple tenths and EGO correction turned off)

Maybe I should sit there pretending my wideband doesn't work.

Even with editing the settings.ini and giving autotune tons of authority and range I have yet to see it do anything to my fuel map. I would drive on the highway and let it do it's thing and and burn every few minutes so it could make further adjustments, when i took a look at the results, i didn't see any changes made. Make a few drives to work and back logging and using MLV in between and your **** should be 90% there.
