I took a picture of my progt disty. My question is: does it looks the same as 1.8L/1.6L miata?

It looks similar to the pictures I've seen of the 94-97 cam/crank position sensor.

Thats from a distributor?

It might be the the 1.6 version. I can't remember which one has the optical sensor.

Thanks guys,

Al, your link provide sweet info. The 1.6 miata has 2 slot in the cylinder identification, while proGT90 has only one. Also it says the NE signal is triggered at 70deg wich should simplify the setting. I tired a 60-63 deg and I was getting pre-detonation, lol.

Another difference is the G signal is actually 5V....and I installed a 5V pullup, I don't know how it influence the signal?

right from the manual pages, 2E-2G are 5v input in the ecu...someone could take a look to the miata manual??

ah, figured the slot in your pic was covered by the sensor. the miata cas has the same voltages.

I wonder why have to build a 5v pullup to the 2nd trigger, when it's already a 5v signal then??!

You will need to run in dizzy mode with this setup, ie 4 main, 1 extra, A=1, B=2, C=3, D=4.

I've setup this to the megatune page:
A--->1
A return---->0
B--->2
B return--->0

-Wheel decoder
-second trigger enable, what's determine if signal rising or falling, a pullup or not must influence the choice.

This is what you should put in:

A--->1
A return---->0
B--->2
B return--->0
C--->3
C return---->0
D--->4
D return--->0

Jim,

the CKP wheel has 4 slots, but the cam runs half the speed of the crank, so there's 2 pickups signal per revolution, that's how I understand the thing.

Also, I use 2 spark output channel (led 17 and 19) for "A" and "B" in wasted spark mode. So you can't really use "C" and "D" in the equation.

Someone agree with that?
