Default does my tpsDOT look normal to you?

is my tpsDOT supposed to be all over the place like this? When I'm idling if I ramp up the RPMs to anywhere higher than idle I get a tone of miss fire and the TP Decel kept on kicking in on me which I think was causing it. Could this be because my tpsDOT is making it think I'm going off throttle when I'm not?

Yeah, that's a problem. Use the TPS filter options or set your enrichments outside the range of the noise.

Or figure out why it's so dirty, loose connections or a bad sensor or something.

I think that noise is too high to "set your enrichments outside the range of the noise".. check out the scale on the graph.

You need to figure out where the noise is or adjust the filtering in the megasquirt to filter it out.

basically what's happening is that your MS is seeing a tiny change in voltage even at 0%TPS and it's right on the border of two bit values. Fluctuations in system voltage make that bit flip back and forth very quickly--the values you see are only samples. the true value might be much larger.

increase the smoothing or filtering (i forget the setting, but if you show me the tps settings page, I can help more) and see if it goes away.

What they said: bump up the smoothing in general settings if you want (though I usually don't like to numb that down much, usually 80-90 where 100 is unfiltered)

then actually tune AE so you're not tripping the enrichment either way

Protip: almost no one has the same thresholds so no one can really tell you what settings to use. just raise them til they don't trigger with the foot off the pedal
