Look for some RC's as wells they can be found in your price range on ebay all day. I just damb near stole a set of RC 750's for $100 and that was for 6 of them because my car has a 2j in it. So if you look you will find them I promise you. I am also a cheap *** and refused to pay anywhere near $300 for injectors.

You'll probably regret not buying the IDs - nothing else will idle like those will.

ya im sure i will, but i really only want to spend like 300 for injectors....lol... what else do you suggest? is it the style of injector that makes it that much better? i mean id really like a set of ev14s i might just get the subi ones i posted, with the extenders for 300 bucks...

I love the arbitrary spending limit. Never mind the fact that you'll end up with a sub-par injector and still spend 60% of the money you would have spent on the best injectors on the market.

I don't recommend anything else in the 1000cc range - you're talking about a very serious setup at that point, and if you can't afford to shell out the extra $200 for injectors I'm not sure you'll be able to afford all of the other supporting mods to make a 300-400whp Miata work well.

i really dont get that? i need injectors and a wastegate, and its about all i have left to buy. the motors built with gtr rods and wiseco pistons, web cams, and a corksport head upgrade. so i dont really see where i cant afford to get the power im after? ive been out on workers comp for 6 months, if they paid me better, or i was working again, id spend 500 bucks on injectors with out really caring...lol... im cheap im not poor...lol...

Can you afford to lose a high-buck motor to save a relatively few bucks for injectors? Wait 'till you can get the 'right' injectors....

BTW, Are you using a 'pulsed' manifold with the 'X-35? What range does this thing start to spool at with the Miata motor?

So why start the thread, then?

im not trying to start ****, im just asking for opinions on somethign other that ID's....
A few members use Deatschwerkes, I have no experience with them but they seem to be well-liked. I have been smitten with my IDs, as has everyone else who has used them. Beyond that, there's a lot of Rx7 injectors, Supra injectors, or RC injectors. Nobody who knows what they are doing runs "subi" injectors or Wizards or any of the other readily available trash from eBay. I have used Rx7 460s, RC750s, and ID1000s and the IDs idle the smoothest out of all 3.

I hate hate hate spending limits. "well I want to spend 300 on injectors" - that's great, but good injectors cost $500. This applies to basically any part out there - your arbitrary "budget" for a certain item has absolutely no bearing on the cost of that item. If you have $200 to spend on a clutch, and you can buy an absolute piece of garbage for $175 or the best clutch on the market for $300, are you really going to waste $175 on the garbage clutch to "stay within your budget"? You can waste $300 on subpar injectors, find out that they aren't E85 compatible or aren't rated for high fuel pressure, or you can wait a month or two and get the right injectors. We see it here at least once a week - "well u guyz i only hav 1000 to spend on a trbo kit wut shuld i get?"

High quality parts also hold their value quite well - good luck finding a set of IDs for less than $400 even on the used market. That goes for other high-quality parts - name-brand clutches, FM/BEGi turbo parts, etc. all command a premium on the used market since they are quality parts.

When I start a project or look into an upgrade, I look at what my goals are and then determine the cheapest way to effectively fulfill my goals. I don't start by picking a number out of a hat and then trying to get the project done within that arbitrary budget. If you build a car on a strict budget, you end up with a car that's not particularly well sorted, or a car that's missing a few items, and there's still a lot of money missing from your wallet. If you stretch the budget when necessary, you end up with a car that's going to be more reliable, easier to live with, and you won't miss the extra cash for a second.

DW is good quality. I've had good experience with their smaller injectors and am fairly certain their 1000's are good or at least not bad.
ID so far have been great and I'm impressed with them.

Anything else you might think you may be able to get away with is either not common, not really tested, and kind of a "pave your own way" sort of deal. If you want to test and experiment on your built motor and run the risk of blowing it up by all means more power to ya.

Only 2 companies KNOWN to put out good quality 1000cc injectors for the miata right now are DW and ID. Both just came out less than a year ago. Neither are common in the classifieds because people just got their new ones.

You can wait it out and get a used set over time, or take your chances with a ghetto-rigged setup.

well what im talking about is i buy and sell parts all the time, theyre not worth as much to me as others people because i can almost always find them cheaper usually...

anyways im probably going to get pte's local cheap , if i need something different, ill do it down the road.... unless i find something in the mean time...e85 is an option, its not on top of my list of things to get done tho... and the pte's arent rated for ethanol anyways.... i mean i could probably just find some 750-850s run 93 like i do now and be done...

i found a few sets of ID's for around 300, if i can get them ill deffinatly try them out...

and im using an hy35 not hx, i didnt want to spend the money on a pulsed manifold right now.... if i change from the hy ever ill get a manifold made, a guy local does them for about 500 bucks...

and im still confused with why your so againt the subi injectors? look at the id's they use caps too, therye not direct fit with out them, and theyre both ev14's i think... not saying theyre better, but im just asking?

one more thing, ghetto rigging?...lol... no..... im not a hack and ive never been, im a cheap ***, but i always manage to get where i want to be...lol... its not a brand new car, if it was i wouldnt have a problem buying everything top of the line. its a 95 escort with a built bpt motor, im not trying to get crazy power, i just want more than the near 300ish i have now.... its a toy its not my life....

ya i just couldnt change the title when i rebumped this thread, but no ive never been there, i usually stay on mazda forums, its really just the sheet metal thats ford on it, the rest is mazda bg chassis.... i only made my way here back when i went ms, theres atleast more people who are using it here who are alot more helpfull than the other forums i find. basically theres more money into the miatas, and more people with money to upgrade them, unlike most of the people who would normally buy a car like mine.... ive had a dozen gt's this is the first i turboed tho, and now im moving on to see what else i can get out of it...lol... i dunno atleast its not a ******* honda...lol...

I have a random side question, what are GTX rods that you mention you are using. As far as I have seen, the rods in the 323 GTX are not any stronger then stock miata rods.

Also save up an extra $100 and go with the DW1000's if you are going to buy injectors.
