Easytherm, MSPNP, firmware Q's

Just to make sure im doing this stuff correctly, i seem to be having issues with everything ever since i first tried to fix my easytherm settings

i have a 97 with a MSPNP and

i connected a digital multi meter to my CLT and got values from about 40, 100and 200 degrees
inputed those into easytherm,

1) What am i supposed to be using for the Bias resistor?
its set to 2490 when i first start up easytherm, is this something that is on the MSPNP or does it chage with whatever sensor im using?

I select hi-res and comport 1, i click on Write .inc and .s19 Files, these goto the easytherm folder

2) these files all go into what folder? whatever folder i reflash the firmware with?

3) If i select download to megasquirt in the easytherm program, it will download a little, maybe 300 lines thenit stops, then nothing will work, computer and megasquirt will not reconize each other, and i have to open the MSPNP and have to install the boot jumper and reflash to get any kind of reaction from the MSPNP

I can reflash the base firmware no problem, but im having so many issues with easytherm that the only way i could make sure i did not screw up all my stuff was to erase all the megasquirt files and reinstall and then reflash with what came on the CD

im using info from this thread im just getting confused as hell

here is thread for the IAT sensor i have:

SU107 is autozone's part #.
Did someone ever figure out the CLT resistance data for 96-97 cars?

2490 for both.

wrong, need to select custom, and open your hi-res firmware.

all go into the easytherm folder.

you cannot do anything while you are burning, also see second comment above...

What problems were you having with your EasyTherm settings to begin with?

i was haveing the CLT temps hit 215+ when i was warming up right after i started the car, was sure something was corrupted

I also want to install a sensor that is a bit more percise between 170-200 degree range since the stock sensor seams to skip degrees the higher it goes

im just trying to make sure i have the entire process down, i keep hearing that i do not need to use the boot jumper, but every time i have tried to flash firmware, it gives the "was expecting "" " error and the MSPNP will act like a paperweight until i open the cover and jump the boot pins to reinstall the regular firmware

i want to make sure im not missing a step, i learn best by seeing it, its really hard for me to understand whats going on unless everything is listed step by step, once i get it though, i have no problem

You'd need a different type of CLT sensor, one with more resistance, to get more resolution.

The INC files will go in your project folder, either the with or without AFM folder or a brand new one.

Try using the MS2 download utility (even though you don't have an MS-II) to load the EasyTheremed code; this one's a bit more reliable.
