Default ECU doesnt seem to hold tune

I upload a tune onto tunerstudio but the car seems to act as if there is no tune whatsoever. none of my settings change. should i reflash the ecu and try after that?

When you make changes to certain areas you'll see a button labeled burn. That is what you click to upload to the computer. Well you really write it to memory that's non-volatile.

well im not trying to make any changes to anything, i just want to use a tune that was previously on the car. i open the tune to a project and tunerstudio says there were errors uploading this tune. then i go to file > save msq and then tunerstudio says "unable to save msq. check log file for details. does this mean i need to reflash my ecu?
