Default firmware issue ?

gotta lil problem I think may be firmware related with my LC1. maybe you guys can help.

got an lc1 that was bad, sent it to innovate they "checked it" and sent it back just as bad as it was before. after some bitching and being a complete pain in the *** they arranged a brand new one for me.

new one hooked up and working beautifuly, except my MSPNP won't display the afr. log works does though, so I know the unit is working and working well. I've set the PNP configurator to default LC-1 and switch point to 2.5v(which for some reason gets changed to 2.49)and no such luck

canged config. to 10.00/ 20.00 afr 0-5v. when I open LM programer and try to change the outputs to match. it just won't save the changes. if I change the configuration of output 2 and then apply, it just goes back to the default settings as soon as I tab onto output 1 or anyhting for that matter.

I seem to recall a thread about a firmware update fixing this very issue, but have not been able to find it through searching. so far though updating firm ware has made no difference. tried it twice. any other suggestions?

I am trying to connect through pin 10 on the center plug by the way. I'm under the impression that the PNP does not need modification to do this. is that a correct assumption?

As to your last question, yes that is a correct assumption. Just make sure your NB O2 is not still connected to the factory harness.

Damn, I've had this exact same problem before man and it's nothing hard. It wouldn't save, or if you clicked something it would loose the settings. I really don't remember much about it though as it's been a long time. From memory though, the displayed numbers would change when you program the second one or something like that, but they're actually still right. Post a screenshot of LM Programmer and I'll try to help.

And what's with "I've set the PNP configurator to default LC-1 and switch point to 2.5v(which for some reason gets changed to 2.49)and no such luck" What's with the switch point? I don't remember any settings about that.

And please, work on your grammar. Your stuff's hard to read.

ok, In the MSconfigurator you have to select which type of WB02 you have. I selected the Innovate lc1 default. 00057 # set INNOVATE_LC1_DEFAULT "Innovate LC-1 default, 0-5v = 0.5-1.5 lambda"

the switchpoint I refered to is in the exhaust gas settings right under where you change from NB02 setting to WB02. basic settings>exhaust gas settings>EGO switchpoint(v). It is a voltage point at which your WB02 shows a stoich burn. for gasoline we all know that is 14.7:1 afr. you have to figure out what the voltage is at stoich and enter it there. according to the pnp manual this is one of the required steps to set up a wide band. right in the middle of the sweep is 2.5v and that would be 15:1.
If I enter 2.5 in that field megatune will automaticaly reset it to 2.49. which is not to big of a deal as 2.49v would be a touch closer to stoich anyway.

I have read in a few posts that using the default LC1 setting in MS configurator causes some issues with communication . Having read that I tried switching to a different setting 00056 #unset INNOVATE_0_5_LINEAR "Innovate, PLX 0-5V 10-20:1 AFR"
To use this setting I need to reconfigure the output of the LC-1 to match. this is where I'm running into issues; well that, and the damn thing won't talk to my pnp. hope that was a bit easier to read.
