Default fried 1.6 ignitor module - 1.8 coil swap info??

I screwed something up again... I fried the ignitor module.

I had car purring like a kitten yesterday...
then I started retracing wires to check my temp sensor and iat wires...

I forgot car was powered on, and i unplugged the coil packs....
now my car runs like crap....like timing or misfire issues.

possible ignitor failure?

UPDATE:
I tested the Igniter and it failed the resistance tests I found on MiataNet.

I have 2 pairs of 4 pin 1.8 coil packs I want to use.
where to find clear instuctions on how to do such a swap?

MSQ and datalog attached...

Thank-you very much. I ran across your page in my search for answers.
I am almost done sorting out a harness for the swap I think I am good to go, and I have only one question at this point.

your site says:
"One more thing about the resistor: it IS required for a Link 1.6 ECU but not for a Link 1.8 ECU, and not for an OEM ECU (according to others that have tried it)."

No mention of Megasquirt ECU's so just make sure IS the resistor required for megasquirt (DIYPNP MS2e) users?
