IAT Sensor Installation

IAT Sensor Installation
Hi,
I installed my IAT sensor last weekend and wired it all up for my MSPNP. I am now left trying to work out how I can make the connection into the AFM connector more robust and better looking.
Can I ask what everyone else did and ask for you to post some pictures to help me please?
Thanks.
Bob.

I've a feeling the OP is from the UK as his username is BBRxxx as in Brodie Britian Racing. there was a Dealer warrintied turbo conversion for the MK1's performed by BBR.
long story short the brake booster is on the other side

so will it heatsoak if its closer to the TB...thanks for the info, i need to rethink it then
also, any benefit to place it either before or after the BOV (VTA) is it better before or after or does it not make a difference at all?
i was planing to use SS cold side pipe in hopes that it would help the charge stay cooler vs AL since i assume that the charge exiting IC is cooler than ambient, no? please chime in and help me understand this better

it will heatsoak once you stop the car and it bay heats up.
i ran the wire from the sensor to the engine block and AFM harness. it HAS to be after the intercooler. you can tap your intake manifold yourself if you want, but what's wrong with an extra 2' of wire?

I used to run my IAT in the dummy throttle body. but once I fixed my Idle air controller (coolant passage was blocked) it heatsoaked like a ****.
I've since moved it to a 45deg bend straight after my chargecooler just before the DTB. no heatsoack issue here anymore
