Default Help me figure out after start enrichment

I have been living with this issue for a couple of years now and its time to fix it. When i first start my car in the morning it fires up pretty quick but when i hit the throttle it chokes and stutters. Its same feeling you get on carbed bikes when they are cold and need choke to run. If i hit the throttle fast and let off right away i get a pretty loud pop from the tail pipe.

Can somebody help me figure out how to adjust after start enrichment and warmup area in the tuner studio.

I am running a version 1 of mspnp.

Thanks.

Go into "after start enrichments" and add more fuel at the temperatures where it struggles to run after starting. You may have to add quite a bit, but start small.

Sounds like you need to tune your accel enrichments, not ASE.

Naw that sounds like ASE. I bet if his wideband was warmed up it'd read lean as hell.

Oh does it?

It sounds like ASE, the enrichment that decays within seconds, when you hit the throttle and it stumples? Yeah, sounds EXACTLY like ASE.

The widened does go lean right when I hit the throttle. During warm up it does stay at like 10.5-11.0. So I the accel enrichment could be playing a role here.

I make my ASE last for closer to 2 mins because I live where it actually gets cold.

that's not the point of ASE; that's what WUE is for.

You better go read that link I posted earlier Jimmy.

4 distinct modes. In order:
1. Cranking
2. ASE
3. WUE
4. Normal Operation

All MS's have all of them.

Do you stumble when warm?

If not, then focus on WUE first.

If you stumble warm or cold, then add accel enrichment using the Acceleration Wizard (basic settings). As for guidance, add what you need, no more. Matt wrote an article on it:

When car is warm it's perfect. However if I very quickly blip the throttle in grear or while idling my wideband goes really lean for a split second.

Looks like since I got a vtps last year I never tuned the accel enrichment. The table was not even touched. Thank you for posting the article. It looks a bit involved but I will give it a shot.

Switched back to map enrichment and it's back to normal. I guess I need to figure out how to tune that little tpsdot map.
