Help me hit full boost
I have a MKTurbo kit that I've been working on tuning. I need some help hitting boost quicker/improving my boost. Other than getting a EBC from diyautotune and tuning that, is there something I can do to improve my spool time. Attached is a datalog and tune of a 4th gear pull the other night. I'm working on hand smoothing the AFR's right now so those will get fixed. I noticed I hit 0 boost in first and only 3 pounds in 2nd. I'm overshooting by about 2 lbs at 4th gear max rpm which I can live with. If I get the turbo off i'll port it more/channel it more to maybe get that down. I appreciate any help. I know I should maybe address the spark table but I'm nervous without a steady state dyno or knock sensor on my 1.8. Thanks!

If you aren't making boost in decent amounts in first and second gears, something is wrong.
Check the preload on the wastegate actuator. Check for boost leaks. Block the BOV to see if it is leaking. Ensure your reference for the WG is post intercooler. Do not use a catalytic converter or high backpressure muffler. And more.

That's what I figured as far a reading a few build threads, thanks for confirming my suspicions Six.
As far as what you suggested, I will check the wategate preload. I adjusted it when I was clocking the turbo and then tried to adjust it back and probably messed something up. Boost leaks, I believe I fixed that already but the BOV is indeed leaking which I'm waiting to hear back from Lars as far as figuring out a fix for the Turbosmart knock off. I've tried a single washer and removed the flutter after 2lbs of boost but still flutters under that. Wastegate is receiving it's signal from the intercooler piping right before the TB. 2.5" dp to 3" exhaust straight back to magnaflow muffler. MKturbo special. What else should I be checking?
