Default MSD Ignition box?

My car came with a MSD ignition box made specifically for boosted Miatas on it. I am now installing a MS system, do I have any reason to keep the MSD box or not?

Thats the boost timing retard.. Since you're going to be using REAL engine management, Sell it.

Has anyone worked out how to make MS fire multiple sparks per Ign event? or was that all snake oil anyway?

Snake oil as in, doesn't really do any good?

I can't answer that for sure either way. Do I believe it does any good? maybe if you've got a weak *** ignition system. Honestly I think the better cure would be the Toyota COP Conversion. Multiple spark per ignition trigger sounds like a good idea but I think having one big fatty *** 50,000+ volt spark vs a few cheese dick 5,000 volt sparks would do more.. Just my opinion, though.

Me likee COPs they're the ****. But how about several 50,000v sparks? I doubt that you can improve on the COPs for performance but I'm sure I read somewhere that multiple sparks reduce emmisions. Maybe it could help some of you guys with your smog testing.

Is that the MSD timing retard box or the DIS-2? Ditch the timing retard as that function's already in the MSPNP, but you can keep the DIS-2.
