Default i think i might have fried the board?

this is a quick question to all the MS guru's here. i had the car running, spark and fuel control MS extra. my old set up i was trying to config the stock coolant temp sensor but no luck, so i threw in a gm one. now i think well i know that the reading was wrong after the swap cuz i messed with the values on easytherm and all that. so i told my self let me set it all back to gm defalts. well i did all this while the car was runing! i totaly forgot and did not think it would matter if the car was on. so i did the process to change settings on easytherm and the car shut off. so i try to turn it on and nothing and i cant connect to labtop. it like if i had the com cable disconnected. i went in megatune and did the test connectivity and nothing. i even tried to connect threw easy threm nothing.

you think i fried it?

let me know what you guys think?

First off, I'm assuming you were using Easytherm to directly flash the firmware right?

Two things are possible-

1) The firmware is corrupted, if so UNPLUG YOUR IGNITORS and reflash it. Load a compatible base map, and then you can plug your ignitors back in.

2) You may have fried your ignitors from flashing the firmware with them plugged in.

#1 is likely, you won't know about #2 until you fix #1.

Can you connect with Hyperterminal? Or alternately have you tried the 'download_firmware.bat' that comes with the MS1 Extra firmware package? The .bat file is probably the simplest way to reflash your firmware, and as long as the hardware is OK, and the bootloader is still in place, this should get you back up and going.

Here's the latest firmware package--

let me know what you guys think and if you ever encountered the problem

stop. just stop. fix one thing then another.

if you cannot communicate with the MS then something's wrong. You know you did something to potentially damage it to begin with, so why blame the battery now. do what jerry says. reflash the firmware to start.

Have you removed your AFM/MAF?

If so did you jumper the FP on?

The FP in the diag port need grounding to enable the fuel pump.

It was controlled byt the AFM before when air was being sucked in it knew the engine was running and it knew it needed the fuel pump on.

I'm going to wire mine to a switch in the cabin.
