Default IAT sensor wiring help

so the iat kit i got from DIY has some metal spades to use with the AFM plug (i'm assuming thats what theyre for). if i solder the wires to them, and shove them into the stock plug like so:




what keeps them from coming out?

I wouldn't just stick them in like that. I'd solder wire to wire for a no-nonsense connection you'll never have to worry about

disclaimer: i am known to half-*** things

i just stuck them int here and called it a day. i did make a loop of wire and tied it to the harness with a zip tie so there's no stress on it..

Been like that for months, no problems.

i had considered cutting the stock connector off and doing this, but its not so easily reversible....

Can't say I really love 'em for under-hood use, but these are pretty handy for that sort of thing:
