psyber_0ptix 04-08-2014 04:47 PM

IACV?

jt@namiata.com 04-08-2014 04:47 PM

IAC? Pull ze plug.

dieselmiata 04-08-2014 04:51 PM

IAC. Check the frequency setting.

BTMiata 04-08-2014 04:53 PM

Ahh ok thanks guys! It's not going to hurt anything buzzing like that is it? I was concerned something was wrong so I shut the car down right after recording the clip

psyber_0ptix 04-08-2014 04:55 PM

shouldn't hurt but don't want to roast it. maybe this helps?

dieselmiata 04-08-2014 04:56 PM

Not right away, no. If you don't use the correct frequency setting it will kill the valve.

BTMiata 04-08-2014 05:00 PM

Ok thanks again! I'm going to unplug it until I get the setting correct... Getting back out in the garage after dinner and wife-time lol

psyber_0ptix 04-08-2014 05:02 PM

"wife time":ky:

jt@namiata.com 04-08-2014 07:51 PM

FWIW, mine was noisy in my basemap from Rev @ 313hz, bumped to 480hz (per 500hz suggestion in linked thread above... it's as high as I can go) and is a low hum now.

Bahahahaha I tried but she said no :-/

Ok next dumb question... Did I do something wrong? Are wires backwards on my TPS? I have a pnp TPS sensor from the guy on here who sells them all the time, so I doubt he wired it wrong

BTMiata 04-08-2014 09:34 PM

Ok so also I ended up bumping the Inc frequency to 503hz.much quieter now... Hopefully that's not too high of a setting.

Off work tomorrow and can't wait to VE analyze and drive around and see what it does!

thirdgen 04-08-2014 09:37 PM

Don't VE analyze anything until everything is calibrated properly.

I have everything else calibrated... I just need to find out about that TPS message I had pop up

jt@namiata.com 04-08-2014 09:43 PM

Right. You either wired it wrong or calibrated it wrong.

BTMiata 04-08-2014 09:52 PM

I'll see if I can either flip the connector or maybe I misunderstood brains instructions

On the dashboard screen of TS, TPS should read 0 with your foot off the gas. Press the pedal and watch it change.
If it's not reading 0 when closed, and doesn't go positive numbers when you hit the pedal, something is wrong.

BTMiata 04-09-2014 07:34 AM

Ok so the plug is not backwards... Its either incorrect wiring or I improperly did the procedure. I'm pretty sure I followed brains instructions exactly though

Braineack 04-09-2014 07:50 AM

did you actually install a vTPS?

the buzzing is actually a bit bothersome, since the freq you should be using is whatever was loaded (something like 100Hz).

Yes I have a TPS from railz on the forum. Here is how he has it wired...
