I still wonder why

1) You are using the "simple" algorithm
2) You are not enabling it below 1500rpm

What RPM are you activating yours?

My PID is 20,20,10 respectively

I always been against EGO at idle. It's never worked well for me, and tuning it to work at idle caused it to be horrible off idle.

When I enable EGO at idle the AFRs fight everything else that's going on and caused oscillation. With all the idle improvements: ve idle table, timing corrections, voltage corrections, PID code, there's no point for EGO at idle, my AFRs are on point and smooth and constant and my idle is better than it's ever been.

I had tuned the EGO PID at one point and fucked around with it one day and forgot to redo it, simple actually works fairly well.

I still wonder HOW you are using EGO at idle, you're probably the only person running MS that does it.

Simple causes oscillations. PID does not.

yeah but when i tuned PID for idle, and it was great (before idle ve table)....it sucked in all other RPM ranges. I'm not the only one who's complained about this.

that's why im back on simple, as i fucked up my pid settings trying to get it to work at idle, and then i never tuned it back.

Is this on the MS3? I have no complaints on the MS2...so do my customers.

yeah. but whatever, i don't need it at idle. my afrs are flat, as well as my idle speed, it's pretty delicious.

Arguably, PID can produce oscillations too if not correctly tuned.

I personally think that the EGO pid is by far the easiest to tune.

Okay - so I've got a new MOD (v2.7) finished and in testing that has AirCorrection calcs and scaling in 10ths plus it allows for RPM based linear scaling so that you can have a table that allows for 50% at idle, 100% above 1000 rpm and then taper down from 4000rpm down to 0% at 5000rpm onwards... so plenty of options for whatever you need to ensure the MAT Correction does what you want. I should be looking to release this soon - anyone want to test the code? (it is based on a beta 3.3 of ms2/extra version 2.6 of my mod which many have tried and are getting great results) http://www.msextra.com/forums/viewto...p?f=91&t=44946

So what's your method for tuning PID idle? It was one of the first things I messed with, and it seems to do alright.

I'd offer to try it out, but it'll probably be a while before I really have a chance to play with it.

I confirmed it today. Gammae is going around 85-90% when cruising around in hot weather.

.... and MAT should show the same corresponding movement. Did you grab a log of that?

Is this on MS2 or MS3?
