Default Mega Squirt Problem...

Alright....i have read and tune my miata to my knowledge....no matter what i do the engine shakes.... then i check my injector to see if there's any fuel flowing to all injector but that last one has no power!!! i checked all my wire and they are okay... pluged in my stock miata ecu and fires right up nice...so have anyone have this problem before... it seems to me that my fourth injector isn't grounded...so my msPnp is not working 100% correctly?

they all get power off the same spot (w/r off the CAS) then the signals goes into the ecu, 1 & 3 and 2 & 4 are batched.

Jerry checks all the MSPNP's out on his cars before they ship. He starts the car, and lets it idle, and makes sure the cooling fans turn on. So odds are the PNP is OK and the problem lies in your car. Why not probe the injector harness with a DMM?

BTW, thanks for letting us know what year and motor you have

the fact you have a solid green wire says sequential injection....you dont happen to have a CA '93 do you?

The '93 CA miata started running sequential injection like the 94-95 miatas. So two of your injectors might not be getting any signal at all, not just the one.

what you can do for a simple fix is wire the Green and Yellow/Blue together & Green/White and Yellow injector wires together.

a simple wire stuffed into the back of each to test should work.

just test it without cutting wires or soldering just to test. but i think that's the issue.

im certain if you have a 93 and have a green wire off #4 then you have sequential injection. I assume the 9093MSPNP is not setup for your oddity, but it's a simple fix.

I was under the impression Jerry revised the 90-93PNP to include support for 93CA cars by jumping the 2 extra injector outputs to their correct batch fire partner. However, if your PNP is "old" like mine, and indeed you do not have 93CA support, you can just modify your injection harness. All injectors get +12V, and then the ground "fire" signals are batched between 1&4 and 2&3

wait wait...

you gotta have the power to the injectors wired up to the same 12V as the CAS? or can you just get another 12V reference from another point?

You can get 12v from anywhere for the CAS. He's just saying that the cars that came with a CAS get power from the same place.

We have revised them to handle all 1.6l 90-93 cars, batch and sequential... but this must have been just prior to that change. Current units being sold work on the 93 CA cars as well.
