Default Megalog Viewer not letting me run analysis?

Hey guys,

New here, but figured I'd come asking for your collective wisdom sooner rather then later.

I just installed a MSPNP2 in my naturally aspirated 93 and have been data-logging the past few days so I can make sure I'm hitting my ideal AFR table, but for some reason I keep running into the same error when I try to run an analysis.

The write ups I've read and tutorials on Youtube (TheCarPassionChannel) said you don't have to change any settings to run the analysis, but I keep getting this error when I try to run any logs under any driving conditions. Are there settings I need to change in TunerStudio before datalogging? Or something I must change in Megalog Viewer?

If it makes any difference, I am running a Innovate MTX-L wideband gauge/sensor, and sensor was just recalibrated.
.
Any help or guidance is greatly appreciated!

Thanks, Ben

~Bump~

I guess everyone is as stumped as myself. I'm going to try completely reloading the untouched basemap from the driver and see if that helps the issue. Maybe a certain setting got messed up somewhere along the way?

Post (upload) your log and your tune. Then we have something to evaluate.

I would start with doing what the error suggests. Do you have a filters that seem out of whack?

Also, do you not own tunerstudio? Is that why you're using megalog to analyze instead of VEAL? It's well worth the $70 to have VEAL tune in real-time.

So update, I completely started over with the original basemap and it turns out I had a few settings I forgot to adjust on initial start up of the car.
Original issue of VE Analize has gone away, although I cant really run the car long enough to datalog due to the following reason.

I believe I have all the base settings set up, but now the car starts, idles around 2500-3000rpms, and sits at 19-20AFR, so I must be missing something?

I fixed the original issue, now have more.. I have TS Lite. I do not yet have the full version, but I'm not inclined to spend more money on the program until I can get it running as it sits.

For the new issues:
  • Double check your req. fuel settings (make sure your engine and injector sizes are OK).
  • If that's OK - then you just need to add more fuel to the idle area. Open the fuel map and increase the VE in the relevant cells (I think you can hit Q on the keyboard to instantly add a point). Do this until you're 13-14ish at idle (which is a bit rich but you'll want it rich while you dial in other things).
  • Also check your idle method. For your first start, I would probably use open-loop (I think it's called warmup mode?). Then switch to closed loop asap after you do some reading. If you're already in warmup-mode, you may need to lower your idle duty for the relevant coolant temp. This will bring your RPMs down.

In the "Engine and Sequential Settings", correct? I did the required fuel calculation, but I think I had forgotten to change the lower settings. I'm gonna to edit my tune now and then burn it to the ecu tomorrow when I get home from work. Thank you a lot for your input. I've watched a lot of videos and read some FAQs on how to tune this program, but I've only had it in the car for about a week and I'm still figuring how everything is set up, and honestly learning more and more and delicate auto computers are.
