I fucked my firmware flash up (battery ran out) and now when I turn on my MS only the middle light comes on. What does this mean? Should I just try out the hyperterminal ****? I can't get connected to the thing anymore. I'm using a regular serial port now so my usb>serial issues aren't a problem.

MS is a Braineack one.

I put in the boot jumper and tried to reflash from easytherm, but I get no connectivity. I'm positive about the com port/cable/etc working fine, tested that stuff with another piece of equipment.

Hyperterminal is my only option,yes?

edit: when I don't have the boot jumper on, the middle led turns on when I turn the ignition to ON. When the boot jumper is in, I get nothing.

 

alright so I connect with hyperterm and when I turn on the MS, I get the boot prompt. However, I get no response from any keyboard inputs.

ideas? I'm seriously thinking about just getting an afpr and saying **** it.

 

Have you tried holding the boot jumper shorted and flashing it back to the base Megaquirt firmware, then going to whatever custom ou run?

My MS 1 chip keeps freaking out once every 60 connections or so to Megatune, and I just hit the boot jumper (I have a switch on it now) and reflash the firmware I run (MSNSE).
