I just got a new mspnp2 and my map sensor just goes right up to 220 with the car off and doesn’t change when I try to start the car either. I think it might be broken on the board but I’m not really sure. I’ll post some pictures of the board so you can see what I’m talking about the second bar from the left doesn’t seem like it’s connected to the board at all

 

Yeah that doesn't look like it's ok, give DIY a call and they will take care of it.

 

I emailed them and talk to them there trying to tell me that it is old and someone messed with it. I bought it on 5/29/20 and haven’t touched it besides plugging it in and opening it up. They want me to pay $100 to get it fixed

 

Did you buy in new or is it new to you? I'd deal with DIY about this issue.

 

how did you fix it im having the same issue ive changed the map sensor and then i got the problem. i wonder how you fixed it.

 

Mine is the same as OP (without the high MAP reading) but my solder weld's look perfect, your sensor looks like it was replaced at one point.
