Default MegaSquirt and the shift light

Friends running a MS1 on a NA SC and the MS box was installed before his dash to the firewall and now wants a shift light. I really dont want to pull the dash out to get to MS. Any way to pick a tach signal from the NA coils?

Tried the Black/w wire on the ignite like on a non MS car and no surprise it does not work.

that's because it's the yellow/blue wire. or the IG- pin in the diagnostics connector.

I guess your right as usual. I copied the LeMons/Chumpcar I have. Its on the black and white on their and works fine. That is a 1990 car from the great white north and a few things are different on that car eh'.

the black/white, IIRC, is the pull up from the ECU to power the blue/yellow wire. If you've removed the stock ecu, then, you know, it wont work on the w/b, as it's not connected to anything.
