I guess I could use it for smoothing, but then again I can use my brain power and determine a number between 45 and 49.

Downloading now. Now that I actually get to fool around with MS for the first time.

I find the 3D tables helpful on the dyno. Get the dot that says where the engine is at as far as load and RPM exactly on a vertex, move your dot to the same point, and then shift up-arrow or shift down-arrow to change the amount of fuel.
It makes load-tuning on the dyno much faster. Ken |

Pretty shocked you're not already using it to be honest! TS is the schnitz, and seeing as MT hasn't been updated in a looooong time and has been dropped for MSIII/can't utilise all the MSII functions it's time has come.

You guys think it would be too complicated to start out on? Seems like everyone is learning MT then switching to TS.
|
I would just start from TunerStudio. The layout is different, but it isn't any more "complicated" than MT.
Edit: The only thing I used MT for was the initial setup/build of my megasquirt. All of my tuning has been with TS. |
Any idea how soon soon is for autotune in Tunerstudio? Are we talking weeks or months?

How is the 3d map in TS different than the 3D maps under tuning in MT? Ken |

They aren't really... They're a bit nicer looking but that's about it.
Ken no matter which way you move the table around, moving around the cursor with the arrows keys doesn't seem to change, unlike TunerStudio. For example, I made my AFR table "flipped" so the lower the AFR's, the "higher" the hill goes. On megatune, if you were to do this, using the cursor key, going up would make the cursor go "down" on the 3D map. Really confusing. |
Yeah, I think in that respect to each his own. I actually liked the MT way better as far as that went. The TS way works great until you get close to a rotation where neither direction makes sense. I think that's why Phil added the ability to do it the old way.
I don't generally flip my tables completely around though, I generally keep them oriented mostly like they start out when you load the dialog, only moving them to get a better view of the data. As far as ms3 stuff, Phil has added a lot of stuff for us for ms3 that we couldn't do before. Things like combined dialogs, etc... As soon as I'm done working on the ini tonight (adding some ITB load mode stuff, a special load calc just for ITBs that utilizes both TPS and MAP in a single table) I'll post it and you can see what I mean. Unzip this and try it in TunerStudio. Let me know what you think.

swapped to TS yesterday, i had my accl values tuned in 10 mins, they were so off, and being able to see the gauges still work when having other windows up helps alot
