Default microsquirt based pnp or full MS2

searched around and didnt find any threads on it.

aside from the form factor between the 2, is there any reason to drop the cash on a DIYPNP based system or just build a regular MS2 from scratch?

ive built a few MS1's at this point and i want to build an MS2 for my mx3 next month, so im doing my research now.

obviously the DIY kit will be cheaper if you can build your own harness.

as i should considering the oem harness in the mx3's are Failtastic, and im adding COP's and other things anyway so harness is a moot point

cost aside, any other differences?

Not really. same software/firmware. the diypnp makes it incredibly easy to add inputs/outputs and the self contained harness connector makes it easy to install.

but when you already know how to build an MS-1 and need to make a harness anyways...

you should step up to MS3X and hang with the big boys.

the ms3x is alittle out of my price range right now, especially considering i still need to fix the lack of boost first. :(

MS2 on a V3 board it is!

The DIYPNP and MS2 share the same basic featureset, but the DIYPNP is much simpler to assemble and install in the car. If you've got a bunch of prior MS experience and prefer to replace your engine harness anyway, my recommendation would be to go with the MS2 kit.

MS2 can also be upgraded to MS3 or MS3X at any time.
