Doing 65mph, staying out of boost the entire time, I dragged down 29.8mpg on shitty Cali gas with an APR GTC-200 on the trunk. I usually get around 24-26 on the freeway cruising between 70 and 80. 16-17 in town driving like a teenager.
Worst I've ever gotten in town was 12. Worst ever on track is ~3.

1200 asswipe.
In all seriousness though Mr. P51:
Best I ever saw on stock ECU was 28mpg. I knew when switching to MS I wanted to meet or beat that. Never saw below 27. If your AFR targets are good and you run datalog s until it's barely making changes it will be much more efficient in vac, and only dump what' necessary in boost.
It was a long time ago, but I think I saw a few highway tanks around 31-32mpg when MegaSquirted and n/a. Having a little boost on tap for top gear hillclimbs on the highway not only makes them quicker, but hardly uses any more fuel since you have real torque and aren't just lugging the motor.

well all things considered every time I log and analyze it pulls and pulls and pulls fuel pulls untill its in the 16's...... I have tried figuring this out before but its acting retarded as usual. I know I was getting 30 at leaste with MS before turbo my AFR targets are actually pretty rich near the 100 KPA mark only because I was tuning to creat a better transition. Does that make sense to anybody? shoud i just tune for 14.7 at 100 KPa then richen up above?

for realz?
Im afraid to calculate my MPG since Ive gone tubo.
I live in a beaches area with lots and lots of stop signs. So I do quite a bit of 25-35mph stop and go driving.
When I was stock I could barely get 20mpg, but it was usually more like 15 due "spirited" driving.

i was getting about 280 out of a 13 gallon tank, with still having about 2 gallons left, i can get it down to about 220 if im on it all the time..... so 22-28 mpg isnt horrible for where i drive, its kinda half city half country roads...lol.... so i do get to beat on it a bit...lol.. my lower left corner is 36 for those 4... i run pretty lean out of boost, and in cruise tho too... i know i can get more, but i think ill loose too much off the line being that much leaner in the begining.....

highway.. nebraska, speed limit, cruse control 70mph
worst: 14
Constant 5 miles back and forth to work, car barly reaches operating temp before i get to work
I usually get around 28-30 on the highway, but I'm usualy also traveling around 80
can't remember where i read for stock aero, but 65mph vs 75 mph, it takes 6 HP to over come aero at 65 and 16 to over come it at 75.. power requirements go up with speed and so does fuel naturally

Gonna bump this old thread. I set a personal record for sure.
Netted 35mpg on the way home from down south today ~500mi. I actually had a passenger in my car with me, and a trunk completely full of stuff.
AFR's at cruise are 14:7-15:1, coolant temps were 185F and outside temp was 60F. This was running on Dunlop star specs at 35psi. Top up windows cracked, no accessories running.
I have a feeling if i was running without a passenger a full trunk and had 40psi in my tires i could hit high 30's. I'm super happy about this.

My best ever was 29.8mpg; running 16.5:1, driving 80mph, top up, no ac, and not getting into boost at all. I typically get 23 city 28 highway, which is a bit better than I got stock so I can't complain. I just don't understand how people can get considerably over 30, or high 20's in the city. I must be doing something wrong.

I'm getting 200 miles per tank city driving. It should be better but I'm unable to idle lean and i need tons of fuel during enrichments...unsure why been trying to figure that out for over a year.
But I'm getting around 19-22mpg city regardless.

yep, it used to be good then one day it wasn't. It changes with temp and while I have even leakdown...it's 20% across the board. I think maybe I might have leaky valves or something...I think it's mechanical.
But yeah, I used to idle at 15.0:1 smooth as silk. Now I have to run 13.5:1 else it will act like the pulswidth is too small and the engine will "miss"
my enrichments had to be like tripled. On cold days, there's no even enough and there's a measureable lag between when I give it gas and when it actually goes...and it dumps to 10:1
I've been trying to figure it out for some time now...it just happened one day, I think it was April of 2011...I drove to work, tune was perfect...when I was leaving for the day it wouldn't idle and the only solution was dumping in **** tons of fuel. I posted about it, but we never found a solution.
If I run in batch/wasted mode, the car will barely run with any amount of tuning.
