I would really like to buy the parts for the boomslang type harness listed in Brain's thread:
https://www.miataturbo.net/forum/showthread.php?t=13676
However, 1 set of components is not enough to trigger the minimum sale amount at onlinecomponents.com The total comes out to $13.73 for 1 complete set for the pre96 setup. The minimum order amount is $30 so we would need at least 3 people to get in on this. I propose that whoever is also interested in making one of these post here and we can order more than 1 set and then split the shipping costs. I can't imagine shipping costs would be very expensive since these things can probably get shipped in padded envelops or something.
Prices are as follows:
1 person $30 plus shipping (due to min. amount)
2 people $15 plus shipping (due to min. amount)
3 people $38.14 / 3 = $12.71 plus shipping
4 people $48.26 / 4 = $12.07 plus shipping
5 people $60.32 /5 = $12.06 plus shipping
Please post up if you are interested as well as any ideas you may have to make this all go smooth. I envision it happening something like this:
1. find out how many people are interested
2. buy the parts and have them all shipped to my house
3. determine totat shipping cost to ship to everyone and divide that by the total number of people participating
4. start collecting money and shipping.
If we follow those steps everyone will be charged the same amount including myself which should still be quite reasonable. If somebody wants to buy the extra components required for the 96-97 that will just be added to their total.

Sounds good. If Brain can get these, then there is no reason for me to do anything like this. I guess we can close this thread then since there isn't anything to gain for anybody by me doing this.
however, I wont be buying any anytime soon.
I got two spares "kits" and i'll most likely be using them within a week or two, then wait till someone else needs something for me to order.

I was actually just offered a second set that BeerBARON purchased when he ordered his, so I'm not in the market for the connectors anymore. So if you need it fast, feel free to take the lead and use my methodology. Or if you can wait a bit, go through Brain.

Unfortunately, right after I posted this, BeerBaron contacted me with an offer to buy his extra set. So I have nothing to gain anymore by holding this group buy. If you are truely interested, I'd suggest contacting the other members who have also shown interest and designate somebody to be the distribution point for this thing.

My appologies. I probably read one of his posts on m.net right before I wrote this. Feel free to slap me in the head if we ever meet.
