For some reason my alternator stopped charging, If i put my stock ecu back in the battery light does come on and once the car is running it does charge. When i put my ms3 back on the battery light never comes on and the system does not charge.

any ideas?

2005, I upgraded the firmware on my ms3 then set alternator control off, then back on and now it's working but bouncing from 13 to 16 volts

 

2005, It's running now but jumping from 14v to 16v, upgraded the firmware and turned alternator control on / off with a power cycle

 

I believe my MS3 Basic from Reverant had hardware control of the alternator. I believe, but can't be 100% sure, my Control Mode setting was OFF.

 

I just went through my old tune files and I do not have anything left from my pre-MSPNP journey. I'm still pretty sure when I was running the MS3 Basic that Alternator Control Mode was OFF.

I think warning light output being OFF will cause your battery light to never come on, I never tried it. My battery light works and alerts me when my voltage target isn't being met, which is every time the A/C kicks on when I am idling the car.
