Default MS3Pro PNP boost controller wiring

Hey all.
Long time member here, after not having a miata for a few years I'm back, picked up an '01 NB with a turbo and ms3pro PNP (amp/efi) installed.

I'm adding a boost controller and finding conflicting information on wiring it up.
I see that some are wired up to the unused MAF wiring, can someone confirm that this will work and if there are any changes in the software to configure that?
I just don't see anything about this in the manual, which states I have to use the high current output on the aux plug on the front.

Thanks.

The MAF has a ground, 12v, and INPUT wired to 4X on the ECU. EBC needs 12v and an OUTPUT.

You could use the 12v and input, but you'd need to depin it at the ECU, and wire it to an output pin. That's just an easy way to wire it, since you don't have to run anything through the firewall.

That’s helpful, thanks for that.
That’s exactly what I was wondering. I’ll probably use the 12V from the maf connector and run a new wire for the output signal.
