Default MS3X VSS input

Hey guys,
please confirm my ignorance/plan of action:

I'm running my 2000 with an MS3X, running the VSS input to Nitrous (MS3X-29) and getting no data. From what I understand, a +5v pullup is required for the VSS input in order for the MS3X to properly read the pulses?

Just want to confirm before I go crawling under the dash again to fix something I missed during assembly.

As a reward for reading this far, have a picture of a cat dancing on the beach:
fabulous virtuoso

you cant use Nitrous In for VSS (or almost anything else for that matter).

Nitrous In expects 12V, so you can tap into your nitrous circuit. Use another digital input.

That makes all of the senses... thank you gentlemen. I'll get it moved over to MSX-28 (Tableswitch In).

I'm troubleshooting a similar issue on my NB1. I had it wired into MS3X-29 Nitrous input and was getting no speed signal.
I then saw this thread and switched it to wire into MS3X-31 PT4 and changed the TunerStudio VSS settings accordingly.
I'm still getting no speed signal.

Any idea what might be going wrong and what to try next?

I moved it over to MSX-28 table input and everything is working now.
So is PT4 not the correct type of input for the miata vss signal?
