MSII Problem?

MSII Problem?
Put my 1999 miata back together after sitting for a month waiting for a new trans.
Started up the car and it immediately went to 7K rpm's
Not good for a car that has not seen oil flow for 4 weeks.
Throttle cable, throttle body working correctly.
Battery was un-hooked for a week. Is it normal for the MSII to need a new flash / program? Laptop currently charging, bothering me a bit.
Hope I did not damage the rings!!
Thanks

That kind of makes sense, only source would be the dummy throttle body return. It is an old BRP MP62 setup. Really not sure how it works as it has always worked. Supercharger was really whining in those few seconds as the throttle body pre supercharger was closed.
Idle air control valve sticking open??

Fixed,
I took the trans out, did not have time to put it back in (working on my dedicated track machine). Paid a trans shop 120.00 to do it. Moving the car they pulled off one of the over the rad intercooler pipes, hard to see.
Compression was all between 195-198. No rings damaged. Suprised to see it that high due to abuse.
I always try to do my own work, because stuff like this happens!
Thanks
