MSLabs MS3 Basic Oops

MSLabs MS3 Basic Oops
2019(a): BP4W in na6 chassis dyno tuned with MSLabs MS3 Basic
2019(b): Removed motor for the mega "winter of 2019/20" mega VVT build
2021: Covid... can't get parts
2022: Car is still sitting in garage, motor needs built... and we sell the house
Scrambling to get the car out of the garage. I have an old laptop with TS but always sucked at it. Plan was to make a few tweaks to the tune to account for more displacement (1.9L) more air flow, bigger injectors and d585 coils. As long as I can get it running and driving I can get it down the street, so using the old tune as a "base map" seemed logical.
We no longer have wifi at the house and I'm in a massive rush - car needs to be gone in 72 hours. Everything's ready so I try to hook up TS... TS says I don't have the correct .ini file, but with no internet, its not looking for it... recommends "browse" for ms3 1.3.2
Get internet, can't find a copy (very outdated?) Also didn't realize that MSLabs ECUs are a bit different than the standard "someone sold me the diy ms that they built.)
Per tuner, attempted to load 1.3.4
TS connects, I make my changes.
Go to start car... it sounds like there is a paint can with marbles in it being shaken behind my gauge cluster once its powered up. TS shows a lot of "incorrect data" errors and shuts down the connection.
I tried to bootload a clean firmware again (coils unplugged, fuel pump unplugged, still not aware MSLabs might be different.) Still having issues, though, and still won't connect to my laptop. At power up my green / red lights are lit. (12v / 5v)
I've emailed Rev already, however:
1.) Is it possible that I've completely hosed the ecu?
2.) Is it likely I've broken something mechanical in the car?
3.) What are my next steps here?
I found documentation and now have the correct ini file for the ecu but, of course, it does not have the correct firmware. (Standard 1.3.4 as far as I can tell but I can't connect to the laptop even though portcheck says all is well?)
