Default MSPNP2 NEWB - VTPS ISSUE

Okay so, my friend and I are new to Miata’s and more or less to tuning. I have acquired a turbo 1991 1.6 Miata with mspnp2 we have base mapped it on stock tps. We have now converted to a bmw tps with adapter. The car was running perfect before install, now the car will run when I’m in throttle but when I let out it dies in rpm and stalls. The afr now are reading super rich at idle I’ve tried messing with duty steps, VE table, closed loop settings. It’s still stalling, it will sometimes idle by itself but when I hit throttle it will stall or let me rev till it dies again. I can post data log if need be. Stock injectors on 160 KPA self tuned. NEED HELP PLEASE!

the VTPS sensor is working in tuner studio and is reading good values at decent resolution. Do I just need to re-tune the car?

Is the VTPS wired correctly and calibrated? It would be best to post the tune and a log.

The stock NA TPS is an on/off switch. If your tune is set to use that stock signal, then it doesn't know what to do with the variable signal from the BMW sensor. You'll have to tell the MSPNP2 that you're using a variable TPS and then calibrate it to "know" how to handle the varying TPS signal.

The link below is for the NA6 MS3Pro instructions which has a section on how to switch from the 1.6 tps to a vtps. It is under the "optional configurations":
