Default mspnp9495 surging idle

i just installed a msnpnp9495 on my 95 miata and all is well except for a surging idle. it surges between 1100 and 1400 and sometimes as high as 1900. any suggestions

give it more fuel using your VE tables @ that selected rpm. also set your warm idle for 900 or so and change the osilation
9forgot the exact word it is)

Did you get my email with the update 'test' settings for closed loop idle? They seem to be smoothing this out...

As Ben stated the manual will show you how to tune the unit, but the updated settings I emailed you will get the base map settings even closer and less likely to need tweaking.

funny how a function that seems the most simple to outsiders turns out be one of the most complicated im following this thread.

ryan,
it's really not that tough. i got a brief instruction from Jerry, read the manual until I wore the text off, and went to town on my own. it makes a ton of sense when you're actually looking at and messing with it.

there was a post where I went into pretty good, long winded detail about helping another member with a closed loop idle problem that will probably come up in a search.
