Default My Megasquirt Questions

So I am slowly going through my build and I have a couple of questions right now. I am at step 50 so do I want to do the hall/optical input circuit or triggering off the negative coil?

I will be posting more questions as I go along.

Please read through the second sticky in this forum also. It has all the miata-specific steps listed.

I am now at step 65 and got a question. I know not to do it since I am running MS1 but what steps exactly on the MSnS-E site do I follow? Also do I do steps 69 and 70?

I will be doing fuel and spark. I finally got my MS done except for the miata specific mods. I will be doing those tommorow once I get some wire. I am so happy that it works in megatune. I was having trouble getting the time going up in real time display and it finally started working. Hopefully tommorow I will start the actual install in my car.

adbradly if you do only fuel you have to still leave all the sensors going to the stock ecu right?

That's the beauty of having a switchable system. You can switch the sensors back to the ecu or to the MS so the stock ecu controls spark, MS runs fuel, MS runs both, or MS runs spark and stock ECU runs fuel(pointless). All kinds of options with a switchable system.
