Default Need advice setting up MS2 PNP on 99 turbo

Hey guys, I recently installed a cx racing turbo kit on my miata and was having issues getting it running. I started it on the stock ecu to see if it would do anything, and it ran for about 20 seconds before the ecu gave up. After that, I hooked up megasquirt with a 1.8 motor turbo base tune, but it did not start at all with this.

After doing some research last night, I found out how to set my fuel injector rating. I have 650cc and the tune was for 550cc, and i found out that I have to hook the wideband signal wire to the blue upstream o2 wire. I have not done this yet, but I plan to tomorrow night. Also, it looks like I'll need to unplug my maf sensor according to megasquirt.

What else might I need to mess with in order to get it running? I have the stock 99 miata air temp sensor. Most of what I was finding was for early na miatas. I really just want it to drive enough to be able to limp it to a tuner. I am also willing to tow it to a tuner, but i'd at least like to get it to idle.

I actually have not seen this one. There's a ton of stuff on it! The one I was looking at was for the 99 miata, which was a lot more basic guide with a lot of info cut out.

I've got it hooked up and I got it to run with some throttle! Now I'm on a stock miata base map, I set it up for wideband and the 650 cc injectors. Is there a common easy way to raise the idle? I have to hold the throttle at 2% to get it to idle at 1k rpm, and it doesn't want to go below that without threatening to drop all the way. It seems like it tries to idle at like 200rpm with no throttle.

Yep, by reading some threads and getting the basics started. There is a long way to go and most people here don't want to hold your hand. Start with the sticky's and searching. Good luck!

Not specific to 99 but should answer most of your questions, if you take the time to read through and follow it.
