Hey guys just got my 96 Miata running good on megasquirt but i cant seem to get my launch control working. It is set up in megasquirt correct going by Greg peters video . i have unplugged the neutral safety switch on the trans and still nothing. Any help is appreciated.

 

You don't need it.

 

Check the upper clutch switch. There's a little rubber plug in the clutch pedal that the switch hits. After 20 years the little rubber plug has gotten hard, cracked, and fallen out so the switch is no longer engaging. Buy a plug from a dealer or just tape a penny over the hole. But yeah, you don't need it.

This was the first thing I checked, the plug looks brand new and the switch does not seem broken.

It is set up as the trigger "launch", I haven't tested changing this but I suspect it wont make a difference. I set the hard limit at 3200 so i didn't have to rev the **** out of it to test it. and the tps % % set to 5. Spark and fuel cut.

do you have a vtps ,i don't think it works with standard tps.
