Default Pic Request: Mounting Location of Your MS3X in '90-'93 Miata 1.6

Just like the title says. I'm finishing up my wiring and its about time to get the ECU where it needs to be instead of on the floor with the carpet ripped up. I don't want to put it in the stock location as is barely fits, and I tend to get some water on the floor when it rains hard (not a nice place for an expensive ECU).

I'm thinking about mounting it in the glove box or zip tied to the black plastic A/C (or heat?) ducting underneath the glove box... It doesn't look like it will fit on the transmission tunnel without looking silly.

Thanks!

I took a piece of flat steel, put a bend it with one end about 2" the other about 8" (going off memory) forming an L-bracket.
Drilled a hole in the 2" end and screwed it down with the nut that holds the top of the OEM ECU cover (visible without moving the carpet). The long end of the L-bracket got screwed with a self tapping screw to the metal support bar under the glove box.
The MegaSquirt got attached to the bottom of the L-bracket with big *** zip ties and a piece of foam in between so there's no metal on metal contact.

Not pretty but it took a few minutes to make and tucked everything up out of sight under the dash.

The MS3Pro is waterproof. Just get that. Problem solved.

Put stock padding on top and bottom, shoved into stock location, bolted down cover.

Couldn't put mine in stock location due to the size and ABS module fighting for space.

Got no pictures, too lazy.

I think I'm going to attempt to put it in my glove box. Wish me luck.

i doubt it will fit in the glove box.

But putting it in the stock location, with or without ABS, is too simple a solution I know.

I've seen other pictures of people mounting them there, just not specifically an MS3X. I'll measure twice and cut once

On the trans tunnel? Under the dash? How the heck did you fit it in there?

Especially when it doesn't physically fit but what do I know, I only have one.
Guess I should have stuck with my MS1 since it did fit but I'll live with the shame.

How big is the ABS module? I had plenty of room without ABS.

I'm gonna need to see pics to prove you have such a big ABS module.

Maybe that is why I am having issues. I got it stuffed in easily with the ABS unit in place (93 LE). Of course, I tested fit before I soldered all the wires in place.

The wires were cleaned up a lot between the before and after pictures.
