what's up with that? I saw a small reference to this scenario in the readme or manuals or something (related to com port) but I couldn't fix it or find out why it wont load.

the menu where i pick the config comes up and megatune.exe loads, but the software window doesn't show up. it's not behind another window and it's not alt-tabbable. but it is in task manager. and starting megatune again brings up a "megatune is already running" dialog.

sup wit dat.

I want to play with the software.

Try closing the stuff in task manager that says megatune, then go into your megasquirt folder and then open MT and see if it works.

 

if i close the megatune.exe, it behaves as originally described. process starts but no program shows up on my screen.

 

hey it works on my laptop at home! but still. weird.

QUESTION: Does it show up at the bottom in the task bar by chance but still won't "pop up" ?

 

I have to right click + "maximize" every so often with mine.

 

it doesn't show up at all anywhere. no sign of the program other than in task manager.

Hmm. I know what you're talking about because it's done it to me a couple times too. And it is in the com ports too. I would have to uninstall, restart, and reinstall the com port drivers and then it would work for a week or two, then it would do it again. Dell changed the motherboard on my laptop a few months back and now it never does that.
