Serial connection wasn't working when I tried over lunch today. I found this: Megasquirt Serial Setup
and I'm about to give it a another try.

So I went through the tests on the above link and can't get the serial cable to work. This is purely an academic exercise now, because VEAL is working nicely on my original set-up with the diyautotune serial to usb connector, then a random usb extension to my laptop.

I tried popping the serial to usb connector on the end of the janky serial cable, and my current working setup wouldn't connect to the MS. So I'm thinking this cable is crap.

Lloyd, if you want to post some of your communication or VEAL settings I'd take a look and tell you if I'm doing something differently.

Sounds like either a TS bug (the right clicking set back to original bollox)

Or a comms bug (changing the USB port)

I don't have my MS2e as it's back with Reverant but I'll try both of these once it's back. Then if not setup the serial DB9 to DB9 connector

My VEAL settings are no different to yours bar a few speeds and pressure levels
