Methinks that baro correction is the tiebreaker. That's what makes it better.

I think adding the baro correction for $25 is a sweet deal. Please, please do it (and speed it up too. I'm waiting for you guys to get the 99+'s).

though I already have a mapdaddy in my 96, I have noticed erratic map readings at WOT and occasionally cruise. Praytell, what is this filter you speak of? (I was thinking of tee'ing off a section of vacuum line like a resonance cone in an airbox... )

Does the '96 have a nipple further back on the plenum, like mid-plenum? If so that seems to be a much better MAP source than the cruise port which is right by the throttle body. In my case that eliminated the problem pretty much.

The filters though you can grab at AutoZone in the 'Help' brand section-- it's a little white plastic vaccuum line filter with a tiny bras orifice in the middle. Simple and effective. I really don't think this will be needed generally if you pull the signal from the middle plenum port but it's nice to have as an option...

UrbanSoot-- as for a '96 Guinea Pig, we will be needing some in the not-too-distant future, but we will probably look in the Atlanta area as it's easiest to support people here and work with them. We're not that far along with the 96/97 yet anyways, but we'll be getting on it soon....

even the top-o-the-plenum port has pressure oscillations. I just used a .9mm restrictor (aka welding tip for my mig) and it works great.

My '99 has a fitting on the back of the manifold that i get my signal from. I installed a motorcycle fuel filter (kinda big) in the map line as a filter for the hell of it. I couldn't seem to find the autozone filter in cookeville when i went a lookin.
