Default reloading base maps

My box came with a base map loaded for forced induction. Can I write over it with an NA base map.

Are you just trying to load new fuel & spark tables, or the entire msq? Be careful loading an entire msq... use TunerStudio's compare function to see the difference between tunes.

It should be fine without doing anything. I've disconnected my wastegate plenty of times to keep out of boost and have had no problems. You do have a laptop, yes? And you've hooked it up?

the table goes significantly higher than the car runs on the dyno.
My thought is to start from a NA base map instead of rescaling all of the tables.

yes I'm using tuner studio, the light version.

True, by cutting out the pressureized part of the fuel and spark tables, you can essentially up your resolution. But it will run, and either way, a turbo MS and NA MS are no different. You can reload any map on to it.

the reloading is the problem. Does it just reburn the current "project" or does it become a new "project"

Ah, that's a TS thing, it's still the same project. If you have two cars, say a Turbo 1.6 and a NA '99, you'd want one project for each, and various .msq's within, each with slightly different settings as you tweak your tune, or change components. At least that's what I remember, it's been a while
